The Middle Market: Thoughtful, but Active spacer

Brown Gibbons Lang & Company today announced the release of a special publication “State of Middle Market Financing in the U.S.”

Since our April survey of capital providers, there has been a discernible shift in sentiment amid an increasingly uncertain macroeconomic environment. Lenders are exhibiting caution and are being disciplined in their approach to financing transactions. Leverage has shifted, and lenders are getting better terms. Quality sells in what is still a fiercely competitive M&A market.

Despite broader market volatility, the middle market is proving its resilience. The resounding message from lenders in our survey is that for the right opportunities, capital providers are open for business, and the spigot is still flowing. There is ample liquidity and appetite for lending into high quality transactions.
