Brown Gibbons Lang & Company Leads the Pack with Five Industry Award Nominations

The M&A Advisor, a leading publication dedicated to middle market merger and acquisition activity, recently announced the finalists for the 4th Annual M&A Advisor Awards.

Brown Gibbons Lang & Company (BGL) was named as a finalist for International/Cross Border Deal of the Year for the acquisition of Polypipe Building Products, Ltd. (Polypipe) from IMI plc by Castle Harlan Partners IV; as a finalist for Turnaround Deal of the Year for the sale of Stuart C. Irby Company to Sonepar USA; and, as a finalist for Manufacturing-Industrial Deal of the Year for the sale of Victor Oolitic Stone Co. to Audax Group. Other finalists include Petters Group’s acquisition of Polaroid Corp. and the acquisition of PEC Solutions by Nortel Networks.

This marks the third consecutive year that BGL has been honored. In 2003, Michael Gibbons and Scott Lang were named Middle Market Deal Makers of the Year and in 2004, the recapitalization of Corrpro Companies Inc. by Wingate Partners was selected as the Turnaround Deal of the Year.

BGL has also been named a finalist for U.S. Middle Market Deal Maker of the Year for the Polypipe transaction and is honored to be the U.S. partner in Global M&A, a finalist for Investment Banking Firm of the Year.

The winners will be announced at a black-tie awards dinner December 5th, 2005 at The New York Athletic Club in New York City.
