Brown Gibbons Lang & Company is pleased to announce the sale of the Motion Control Group of VT Group plc (LSE:VTG) to Naiad Maritime Group, Inc. and its subsidiary companies formed through a management buyout led by John Venables, former Group President and Chief Executive Officer. BGL served as financial advisor and Goulston & Storrs, PC served as lead legal counsel for VT Group plc in the transaction.
The company is one the world’s leading providers of motion control and stabilization solutions for the leisure, military, and commercial marine markets, with operations in the U.S., the United Kingdom, Holland, and Australia. Its products have historically been sold under the highly-regarded Naiad Marine, Maritime Dynamics, and Vosper Stabilizer brand names. Going forward, the fully integrated business will operate as Naiad Dynamics. The company’s marine products include digitally-controlled advanced ride control systems, fin stabilizers, t-foils, active interceptors, bow thrusters, integrated hydraulic systems, and electro-hydraulic power packs that are sold to a global customer base comprised of leading luxury yacht and commercial vessel manufacturers, as well as many of the world’s navies.
