Brian Thom

Brian Thom is a Managing Director and a senior member within BGL’s Technology vertical. Brian leads the firm’s investment banking activities in Infrastructure Software and Cybersecurity, with a particular focus on the growing intersection of these sectors and artificial intelligence.

With over 20 years of investment banking and financial advisory experience, Brian has established himself as a trusted advisor to founders, sponsors, and corporate boards. Throughout his career, he has successfully advised on more than $50 billion in total transaction volume, spanning across scores of M&A and capital-raising mandates.

Prior to joining BGL, Brian spent a decade at Jefferies, where he focused on strategic advisory and complex capital-raising transactions. His deep experience spans the entire evolution of the software stack, providing him with a unique perspective on how AI-native workflows are currently redefining the requirements for modern enterprise infrastructure and global data protection.
