Responsibilities

BGL offers Vice Presidents the opportunity to gain extensive sector experience, lead transaction teams, and be active participants in business development activities. Key responsibilities include managing all aspects of transaction execution and business development under the direction of a Managing Director or Director, managing day-to-day client interaction, managing and training Associates and Analysts, and assisting with the development of sector specialties.

Qualifications

Vice President candidates should have a minimum of three years of investment banking Associate level experience or one year of investment banking Vice President level experience. Candidates should have strong academic backgrounds with a minimum of an undergraduate degree in finance, accounting, or economics. An MBA is preferred but is not required. Candidates should be team players and work well in a team environment while displaying independence and resourcefulness. Superior written and verbal communication skills are required.


Associate – Metals Group – Chicago, IL

Responsibilities

Due to BGL’s significant level of activity, we expect Associates to assume an integral role in transaction execution and client interaction, as well as participation in marketing efforts and identifying prospective clients. Associates’ primary responsibilities include overseeing the preparation of financial analyses, conducting due diligence, developing offering memoranda and presentation materials, and participating in the structuring and execution of a wide variety of transactions.

Associate - Cleveland, OH & Chicago, IL

Investment Sales Analyst – Cleveland, OH

BGL Real Estate Partners (BGLREP) is seeking experienced real estate analysts to join its healthcare investment sales team in Cleveland.  The analyst will provide support to the investment sales team, including financial analysis, due diligence, marketing, and closing of various types of real estate transactions and property types. The team will provide the candidate with an opportunity to work on a high volume of real estate transactions within a fast paced, team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

Analysts are entrusted with a high level of responsibility as important contributors to the transaction team.  They work closely with associates and senior brokers in the preparation of presentation materials and analysis and frequently interact with clients. 

Analysts are expected to work on a variety of assignments as part of multiple transaction teams.  In this way, they can develop a broad range of skills and experience while working on all aspects of transactions—from initial contact to final negotiations.

Primary duties include compiling public and private company research, developing financial and valuation models and analyses, and performing detailed due diligence.  Individuals must be able to interpret modeling results, draw conclusions, and report these findings to the transaction team.

  • Developing cash flow projections and financial models using Argus and Excel
  • Communicating with clients to assemble financial information, market data, and property information
  • Reviewing leases and other documents as part of the underwriting and due diligence process
  • Performing specific market research utilizing internal and external resources
  • Interacting with clients, investors, and lenders
  • Assisting with preparation and presentation of analysis and recommendations in a clear and concise manner
  • Assisting in the valuation process
  • Preparing proposal packages and offering memorandums
  • Researching, accumulating, and organizing relevant information for assignments
  • Assisting with all team activities as needed, including preparation of marketing collateral

Qualifications

Strong candidates will possess the following characteristics:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in business-based program, preferably in Finance, Real Estate, or Accounting
  • Outstanding academic record
  • Experience in real estate preferred, but not required
  • Strong analytical and qualitative skills

Environmental & Industrial Services Associate – Cleveland, OH

Primary responsibilities include overseeing the preparation of financial analyses, conducting due diligence, developing offering memoranda and presentation materials, and participating in the structuring and execution of a wide variety of transactions. Associates assume an integral role in transaction execution and client interaction, as well as participation in marketing efforts and identifying prospective clients.  

Associate Responsibilities:

BGL Associates enjoy a high level of involvement at every stage of the transaction and frequently interact with senior level bankers and management of client companies. They are active contributors during every phase of the transaction process and are integral to each transaction team. Additionally, Associates work closely with senior bankers to assist with their new business efforts.

Associates act as primary processors of transactions and proposals. Associates are expected to master all aspects of transaction execution, including new business presentations, financial modeling and analysis, industry research, and preparation of offering memoranda and other written materials.

Associates are required to have the ability to work on two to three transactions at any one time. As they become more experienced, Associates will be expected to manage transactions along with senior bankers and help coordinate the activities of team members, clients, attorneys, and accountants.

Job Responsibilities:

Supporting senior bankers in transaction execution and client management
Performing financial analysis
Identifying potential investors, buyers, acquisition targets or merger partners
Conducting industry research
Participating in new business development
