Meghan Welch quoted in, “War Tech Ignites M&A,” Mergers & Acquisitions

BGL Managing Director Meghan Welch, of the firm’s Aerospace, Defense & Government Services investment banking team, is quoted in an article published by Mergers & Acquisitions entitled, “War Tech Ignites M&A?”

In the article, Meghan discussed how AI-driven warfare is creating a new class of defense winners and sparking a wave of acquisitions across the aerospace and defense sector. Meghan noted that strategic acquirers and tech-forward defense platforms are increasingly pursuing companies that are platform agnostic and enable autonomy and next-generation mission capabilities rather than pure unmanned/robotics platform manufacturers.

Companies that are platform-agnostic and capable of integrating across multiple unmanned and robotic systems will be especially well-positioned to partner with large defense primes and emerging defense technology leaders as procurement cycles continue to accelerate.
